Application Support Engineer
You will keep client applications running, from anywhere in Colombia.

Responsibilities
- Investigate, diagnose and resolve application incidents at tier 2 and tier 3
- Monitor application health and respond to alerts within defined targets
- Perform root cause analysis and drive permanent fixes, not just workarounds
- Work with engineering teams to escalate and resolve underlying defects
- Maintain and improve monitoring, runbooks and support documentation
- Manage incidents through their lifecycle with clear communication and SLAs
- Participate in on-call rotation for critical issues
- Support releases and deployments, verifying application health after changes
- Query logs and databases to investigate issues, using SQL and observability tools
- Deliver against knowledge transfer milestones so the client team can operate independently
- Uphold data security and confidentiality under Law 1581 of 2012
Requirements
- Native or equivalent Spanish
- English at CEFR B2 or above, assessed before offer
- Three or more years in application support, production support or a technical support engineering role
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
- Proficiency with SQL and log or observability tools
- Familiarity with at least one programming or scripting language
- Understanding of application architecture, APIs and databases
- A reliable home working setup, located in Colombia
- Valid Colombian ID or work permit
Preferred
- Experience with observability platforms: Datadog, New Relic, Grafana, Splunk
- Cloud platform familiarity: AWS, Azure or GCP
- ITIL Foundation certification
- Experience with incident management tooling: PagerDuty, Opsgenie, ServiceNow, Jira
- Prior remote work on a distributed engineering team
